How do you feel now that Americans are allowed over to Cuba for vacation?

I know your Cuban culture is famous for the food and the colors.

How do you feel now that Americans are allowed over to Cuba for vacation?

I think it’s awesome! I’ve always wanted to go to Cuba. I grew up hearing all the stories from my parents and grandparents about how beautiful their country is, especially the beaches. I hope to visit one day.

What is your favorite dish?

That’s a tough question! My mom makes the best vaca frita, boliche, frijoles negros…I mean the list goes on and on! I have to say I can never go wrong with pan con lechon on Cuban bread with pieces of chicharron inside Oh my gosh, my mouth is watering just thinking about it!

Can you cook? If so what meal would you say is the best?

I can! I actually love to cook. I grew up watching my mom and both my grandmothers in the kitchen and I learned their tricks. I usually cook very healthy dishes, but for the days I miss my Cuban food, I love to make bistec empanizado with white rice, black beans, and platanito maduros… Yum! 4.

What makes Cuban people different or unique to a culture?

I think every culture is different and unique in their own way, but Cubans are just so fun to be around! We love to dance, eat, talk really loud and we love to play games, like dominos! I feel our culture is just full of life. No matter what we may be going through, being around the family, dancing salsa, and eating food seem to be a cure for everything.

What training have you had in the past?

I took a lot of acting classes throughout my career. I think it’s important to be prepared.

Who is your idol and why?

My parents are my idols. They didn’t let the fact that they couldn’t really speak English or the fact they knew no one in the U.S. stop them from following their dreams.

What music are you currently listening to? What's your least favorite?

I’m listening to everything right now! What I listen to at the moment really depends on my mood. I like everything from pop and country, to Elvis and Michael Jackson. It’s hard to find music I don’t like.

How do you describe your personal style?

I would say my style is trendy chic. I like to look simple and clean but have my hair and make up a little more glam.

What projects can we watch for this year? There are a couple of things that I’m working on at the moment that I can't wait to share soon! One of the projects is in the realm of fashion, so I’m really excited about that.

Are you social? If so which do you prefer snapchat, Twitter or Instagram?

Of course! I love Instagram because I like the fact that you can get so creative with the type of pictures you post. I just got into Snapchat actually! At first, I had no idea how to use it but now I’m obsessed with it! Twitter is fun too but I wish I could write more than 140 characters.

Who would you crush over if you ever meant them in person?

Bradley Cooper. I’m just a huge fan of his work.

How does it feel to be a young Latina woman working in Hollywood today? What would you like to see change?

I think right now so many amazing Latinas have opened up the door for the rest of us, like Jennifer Lopez, Gina Rodriguez, Cristela Alonzo. It’s awesome to see the world embrace our culture and us. It’s nice to give our Latino community Latino people on TV and in the film that they can relate to. I hope Hollywood continues to give us more opportunities to tell our stories.

Lastly, do you have any hidden talents? Amuse us.

I know how to read construction plans. My dad would be proud to know that!
