ANIME INDUSTRY’S FIRST-EVER, LARGE-SCALE DIGITAL BILLBOARD
CAMPAIGN IN NORTH AMERICA
Toei Animation and “One Piece Film Red” movie committee presented a massive digital out of home campaign in New York City’s Times Square during NYCC to promote the movie’s upcoming November 4 opening in the U.S. and Canada. The first-ever of its kind for the anime industry in North America, the “One Piece Film Red” Times Square Takeover featured a specially created animation synchronized across numerous digital billboards encircling Time Square. The visually immersive 2-minute looping animation was experienced by audience made up of One Piece fans and cosplayers, NYCC attendees, visiting tourists and New York City pedestrians for one hour – from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
