Get Ready for the baby phat relaunch

Kimora Lee Simmons announced that Baby Phat will be making a grand return this Summer. “It’s the rebirth of my baby,” she told PEOPLE. The model and fashion designer launched Baby Phat in 1999 as a subsidiary of then-husband Russell Simmons’ Phat Fashions line. The popular line played a major role in pushing Hip Hop-inspired women fashion trends to the forefront of pop culture.   However, Kimora left her position as Creative Director in 2010 after the brand became apart of the Kellwood Company and the relationship reportedly grew tumultuous. Leonardo DiCaprio Invests in Eco-Friendly Shoe Line

The United Nations Messenger of Peace on Wednesday announced his investment in Allbirds, a sustainable shoe brand that simultaneously announced its latest sweet style made from sugar cane instead of plastic foam soles (the Sugar Zeffers retail for $35). “Creating sustainable consumer products requires a deep commitment from brands that understand the role they have in helping solve our environmental crisis,” DiCaprio said in a statement. “Allbirds is on the forefront of developing new materials that will serve as a model for the footwear industry. 2018 CFDA Fashion Awards

The Council of Fashion Designers of America held the 2018 CFDA Awards tonight at the Brooklyn Museum. Hosted by Issa Rae, the evening honored the best and brightest in American fashion design. The eco-friendly red carpet, made from recycled materials, hosted emerging designers and industry legends alongside star-studded guests. And fashion-wise the crowd, which included Diane von Furstenberg, Naomi Campbell, and Donatella Versace, did not disappoint.
