Meet influencer & Actress Elysia Rotaru

Elysia Rotaru Q & A Photography: Max Thompson Editor: Rhonda McKnight  @ouchmagazineny As an influencer and an Actress what has been the hardest part of your combination of the 2 worlds?
I try not to combine them, as I feel they are very different worlds. But there are times when my skill set as an actor comes into the social media side of things and vice versa. I think with my work as an actor I am tapping into energies that help transform me for a role and tell a story; possibly influencing and leaving an impact on people who watch the work. With what I do and how I use social media, the work and approach are different,...

Nikki Era the Music and the Person

in magazine photo credits: Alex Reckert, Sky Rizzo, Sky Rizzo, and Mikey Pop What is it about the 80s era that you are drawn to? I just love how BIG everything was back then in every way. The fashion choices, hairstyles, makeup, synths, drums, etc! It was such an excessive time and unapologetically gaudy. I'm obsessed with that! That's why I wanted to incorporate that concept into the LP title and "MEGA" just popped into my head.  What is your favorite band or artist from that era? From that era specifically, I'd have to say, Billy Joel and Cyndi Lauper. But there are so many!! The 80s gave us Madonna, Guns N’ Roses, Prince, Aerosmith, David Bowie, Elton John... I mean these people defined music as...

Congrats on your role as Milford in BENCHWARMERS 2: BREAKING BALLS. What interested you in the role? I wanted to be apart of Benchwarmers because I loved the first movie, huge fan. But also because of the director Jon Rosenbaum. I’ve worked with him a number of times on comedies in the past and I knew with his involvement it would be hilarious and amazing. He is such a light and creates so many wonderful stories. He is very giving as a director and person, so as actors, we always feel so free and happy to go to set and take fun changes that usually work out really well! The production team is also full of...

My new single 'Crossing My Heart' is based...

Sloane Siegel exclusive with Ouch Magazine GenX issue

Photographer: Benjo Arwas Interview @ouchmagazineny  Editor: Rhonda McKnight   How did you find out about this amazing new series?   Funny story about that, I was actually dating someone at the time who was going out for the role of Gretta. She mentioned to me how cool the script was and how similar I was to the character, so I read it over. After I read it, I had one of those rare moments you have in life where you know something is going to change your world. It was the kind of script I had always dreamed of being a part of. Wizards, witches, swords, dragons, creatures, and characters of folklore alike. All of it is written with a...
