Actor, singer and writer, Max Talisman is set to make his directorial debut in his upcoming romantic comedy, THINGS LIKE THIS. The film stars Charlie Tahan (Netflix’s “Ozark”), Eric Roberts (THE DARK KNIGHT) and Joey Pollari (Love, Simon), and tells a story of two guys who fall in love and while everything seems to align for them to be together, but begin to question fate as they encounter life’s obstacles.
Growing up in Washington DC, Max started performing in 3rd grade. He participated in musical theatre, including productions at the Musical Theatre Center (MTC), one of the leading performing arts education organizations for young people in the Washington DC area. It was the moment when he played the 2nd lead role in the through-composed musical, “Caroline, or Change” that he felt theatre was his calling. When his senior year of high school began, Max made the courageous move to NYC to follow his passion for theatre. He joined the Broadway Artists Alliance, a professional training academy for promising young musical theatre performers right in the heart of New York City. After living in the big apple for 5 years, he decided to make his way to Hollywood, California. He’s appeared in The Orchard’s SUPER DARK TIMES, TBS’ “Search Party” and NBC’s “The Blacklist”. Overcoming Legg-Calvé-Perthes disease (LCPD) and anxiety, this rising star doesn’t let these challenges prevent him from enjoying his life. He has a keen love for sports and when he’s not watching games on TV or at stadiums, he keeps up with the standings/scores on teams such as the LA Lakers, the Washington Redskins and the Baltimore Orioles. He is also an avid tennis and ping pong player, crediting Serena Williams as his role model. Consumed by wanderlust with a curiosity for cultures, Max has traveled all around the world from Argentina to Zimbabwe, Austria, Germany, Italy, England, Iceland, Greece, Africa and Costa Rica.
With a life of travel, art, and hobbies, Max hopes to incorporate all his current and future life experiences in all he does. He hopes to be a role model for the LGBTQ community and break stereotypical barriers/roles in Hollywood.

]]>The past year has been significantly busy for Albert Nicholas. He appeared as Charlie Collins in Nickelodeon’s ‘The Astronauts’, played Reza in The CW’s anthology horror series ‘Two Sentence Horror Stories’, and can be seen as Naps in the feature film ‘Little Fish’, which is now available in select theaters, and on digital platforms and cable VOD. For Albert, there seems to be no sign of slowing down.
Tell me a little more about your role in “The Astronauts”?
I got to play Charlie Collins, the smart, retro rocker type, Flight Activities Officer at the Helios Mission Control Centre. I support Director Bellows, as well as all the parents, by relaying information and making sure the ship is properly functioning. One thing I love about my character is the wardrobe. While everyone else in Mission Control is sporting more office/professional attire, Charlie really sticks out with his graphic Ts, Dickies and Converse… almost bringing a relaxed vibe amidst the chaos that happens through the series.
What was your very first role ever?
If we are talking TV and film, I played Jonah, a fallen angel in season 11 of Supernatural. If you mean ever in life, I did a French play when I was 10 where I played a shepherd who narrated the story.
How old were you when you started your career?
I started acting in theatre when I was nineteen but really decided to pursue it as a career when I got my first agent at twenty-two.
How different is acting in theatre versus working on a movie set?
In general there is a much longer rehearsal process in theatre than in film. Theatre shows can be rehearsed for months before a performance, and since it’s happening live, you have to be able to think quickly on your feet as mistakes happen. In film, if there is a mistake, you’re able to cut and restart - however, you’re usually not rehearsing until the shoot day, lines can change on the spot, and you’re shooting scenes out of order; so as an actor you have to be able to zero in on your emotions as you’re keeping track of your character’s journey.
Acting is acting, but the medium changes the execution. For instance, in theatre it can sometimes feel like you’re pushing emotions outward as you need to reach the back row (unless you’re mic’d), so the body and the voice can become more theatrical. In film, the camera is essentially the audience, so everything becomes more contained and it feels more like a private conversation with your scene partner(s).
There is something to be said about acting in theatre and performing in front of a live audience. It has an entire different feel for me, which brings a kind of unexplainable electric energy. On the flip-side, there is a level of intimacy and realism that can only be felt in film. They both fulfill me, and I plan to continue being on stage and on the screen in my career.
How do you keep your Maine together? Any curly hair secrets for men?
The trick is to do nothing. It’s pretty wild and I kind of just let my hair do what it wants. Honestly, if you have any secrets, please share them with me.
Where do you call home and where have you never been that you'd love to visit?
Home to me is still where I grew up in Ottawa, but eventually I plan to make LA my home. There are many places I’d love to visit… but off the top of my head Santorini, Africa, Antarctica.
What other projects should your fans watch out for this year and 2022?
I can’t really speak to my upcoming projects but stay tuned my friends.

I don't cook a lot, but I do make a super yummy Organic smoothie with raspberries, strawberries, bananas with yogurt and honey.
10. Tell ouch! About your role on 'Fresh off the boat', what is your character like?
My character on the show is named Nicole she lives with her dad Marvin ( Ray Wise ) and step-mom Honey ( Chelsey Crisp ). They live next door to The Huang Family. Nicole is sassy and marches to the beat of her own drum. She is a typical teenager with strong opinions about life. She doesn't really fit into the suburban box of the neighborhood and hates her step-mom and doesn't care that everyone knows this including Honey. Eddie ( Hudson Yang ) instantly falls in love with her. Both of them have strong ideas about growing up and living in Orlando, Florida. She doesn't give him the time of day, and this intrigues him even more. She is a straight up REAL. I think they have many much more in common than they even know.
11. Do you have any other projects you'd like to share? I shot a film called "Memoria" due for release later this year. The film is based on The Palo Alto Stories by James Franco. A coming of age film about a young boy named Ivan Cohen, his dysfunctional family, his slacker group of friends, his love for a girl who doesn't know he exists and trying to see where he fits into all this madness. Also, this summer I am shooting an indie horror film called "Scared to Death" written and directed by Paul Boyd.
12. Okay now for the good stuff. Do you have any Hollywood crushes? Ansel Elgort and Eddie Redmayne Why?
Ansel, because he is just so dreamy and a great actor. Eddie, because his performance in “Theory of Everything” really inspired me. Also, Steven Spielberg, not as a crush but he’s top of my wishlist of people I want to work with. https://youtu.be/NeqdQQE1rBw
13. Who's in your music collection?

Adorno is a Bronx native, but grew up in Columbia, South Carolina. She is the oldest of four siblings and has always had a passion for the performing arts and higher education. Growing up, Adorno excelled in magnet programs including a middle school leadership program that introduced her to the theater world.
“Grand Hotel” is a great family drama! How did you get involved with the show?
I originally auditioned with Marci Philips (Casting Director at ABC) for the role of Alicia, another character on the show, and later on, I auditioned for the role of Yoli. I fell in love with Yoli because she’s so relatable and keeps it real. I feel so grateful to be telling her story.
How different are you from your character Yoli?
We are very different, and I keep realizing this as the season has progressed. However, Yoli has changed me and has made me a better person. I am more confident, and I have a lot more patience thanks to her!
What’s the best part about working on the show? Any favorite moment on set you can share?
The best part was working with the cast and crew. One of my favorite memories was running around with Feliz Ramirez [Carolina] after being wrapped and we were being silly pretending to be secret agents. We let out our childlike essence and let it emerge. Haha, it was fun!
Can you describe how your character has evolved throughout the season?
Yoli has evolved so much with her openness within her sexuality and expressing herself. I’ve had a lot of “Grand Hotel” fans reach out and express how they feel so supported because they related so much to Yoli’s journey and that made me so proud that I was able to be their voice through her.
Tell us about your vegan journey. What made you decide to live a vegan lifestyle?
I love animals so much! When I finally accepted the fact that loving something doesn’t equal hurting it. I truly let that settle in me and eating animals was never a question.
We see you're passionate about animals. What led you to help out organizations such as Little Wanderers?
I kept seeing little kittens and injured cats around my neighborhood and I just needed to help. I couldn’t walk past another baby and not help.

How long have you been an actress? Have you always wanted to be an actor?
I've been an actor for about 20 years. The acting wasn't my first desire. It came to me through dancing and performing on stage. When my dance teacher played "Singing in the Rain", "Easter Parade," and other film classics for me, as inspiration for a dance routine, I discovered acting. Right at that moment, I knew I wanted to be an actor.
What is the most recent acting role that you're super proud of and why?
I'm very proud of Someday. It's a story with a lot of heart and anyone can relate to it. Everyone that has seen it gets pulled in and fully immersed in the story. I've received so many messages from people telling me how they've had a similar experience, their own conclusions of the ending or saying they can't wait to see what happens next and I think as an actress and a filmmaker you want your audience to see themselves reflected in the movies we make. To have them talking about it. To make them feel something. That's special.
Who is your inspiration or what inspires you?
Sometimes I get inspiration in dreams but also am inspired by life. Whether it's my personal experience or otherwise, there are so many exciting and compelling stories of everyday life that can be and need to be, told.
Where do you call home? A place where you feel free to be you totally?
At my home in West Hollywood.
Can you cook? What is your favorite dish you can’t live without?
Yes, I can, and I do cook! I can't say I have a favorite dish I can't live without but when I crave Dominican food, I love making mangú (smashed plantains), moro de habichuelas (rice and beans mixed and cooked together), and the concón (the crispy rice). Fried sweet plantain... I just love Dominican food, but the two things I can't live without and have every day are avocado and my homemade café con leche. I make the best coffee! :)
How do you stay in shape? What’s your routine?
I do Pilates, cardio at the gym, trampoline jumping and I've recently incorporated boxing. It's so much fun, and you get a full body workout!
Same question on your beauty routine. What is your skincare routine?
With skin it's different. I have the basics of course: cleanser, vitamin C and Hyaluronic acid serums, collagen masks. I'm loving the oil moisturizers especially at night but what really makes a difference for me are the skin treatments. My absolute favorite right now are PRP/ Micro-needling, clear & brilliant laser and radiofrequency.
How do you feel about social media and do you answer your own platforms?
I like social media although I'm not on it every day. I love taking breaks from it, but I think It's a great tool to share your work and connect with your fans and peers. It's also a fantastic medium to bring awareness of issues we are concerned about. It's an open mic to the world. I've made new wonderful friends that, had it not been because of social media, we probably would've never met. That being said, I don't share every single aspect of my life. I think some things are best kept to oneself. My approach is moderation, have fun with it and not take it too seriously, and, yes, I do answer and post to my own platforms.
What projects do you have lined up for 2019?
I have a few projects lined up which I will share later, but it's already looking like it's going to be an exciting year!
Where can fans reach out to you or do you have any side projects to share as well?
Fans can find me on IG and FB @Officialkatherinecastro and @katcastroo on Twitter and my website www.katherinecastro.com
I was so lucky to be a part of the audio series America 2.0 co-written and directed by my Someday director J S Mayank, starring Patrick J Adams, Laurence Fishburne, Kate Walsh, Spencer Garrett, and other incredibly talented actors. It's smart, compelling and a real treat to the ears. It's available on all major podcast platforms.
Can you tell us a little bit about your character on the show?
Raven Reyes is basically a sassy, badass, genius, McGyver of the 100. A zero-g mechanical engineer by trade, but her expertise has reached far and wide over the last four seasons. She is selfless, strong and a bit too hard on herself, but a true warrior.
Are there are spoilers for die-hard fans?
Of course, there are. But I could never reveal them. ;)
Are you a Syfy geek or just a lover of movies?
I enjoy Syfy—The Matrix, LOST and Black Mirror are some of my all-time favorites, but I do love all genres in general. I could never restrict myself when it comes to film.
What is your favorite movie of all time?
The Labyrinth.
What was the very first movie or tv show you ever watched or remembered?
My Little Pony or I Love Lucy—my mom's favorite! [caption Young Hollywood Actress Lindsey Morgan // CW’s The 100 cover Ouch Magazine: Foodie Issue"
Who inspires you to make art and work as an actress?
So many great artists out there, but Meryl Streep and Daniel Day-Lewis have always been my favorite.
What would be the most exciting thing you have done so far? In general? Take my first motorcycle lesson.
Where is your favorite place to visit?
I love Barcelona and Tokyo.
Where haven't you visited that you would love to?
Egypt!
What secrets about you that your fans would be surprised to know about?
I had stage fright up until 21!

Ice cream, which is now froyo for health reasons. I love the cool texture.

Season 5 of The 100 filming and I am looking to direct my first project. A short I have been writing.

How is it that you found a love for acting living in New Jersey? Did you travel to NYC for classes or did you study in NJ?
I think I started to act because my sister was doing it. She loved to perform in musicals in community theater when she was younger and I always admired her, so I think I kind of followed in her footsteps. We would perform in shows together in New Jersey, but sometimes take workshops with different acting teachers in New York City. Then, after being signed by my agent in NYC, I started auditioning professionally.
What is your number one love when it comes to acting? What don't you enjoy about being an actor?
My number one love is just falling in love with a character. There are certain characters and storylines you feel connected to and it’s just such an exciting feeling. What I don’t enjoy is the rejection. There’s a lot of rejection when it comes to auditioning and it might not have anything to do with your talent, but sometimes you just aren’t right for the role. You really have to learn to take every single audition as a learning experience and grow to love it in that way.
Please let us know about your upcoming role this year.
I am reprising my role as Edith in Despicable Me 3, which will be out in theaters June 30th. She is back and as fearless as ever. What is your character like? She’s the middle child of the three sisters. She’s got a really spunky attitude and is a huge troublemaker, but I think that’s what makes voicing her so much fun. Even though she’s a tomboy, she definitely has a softer side and loves her family a lot. She even has a protective side when it comes to Agnes.
How long does it take for you to remember lines? Do you have a trick to share? For voiceover, I don’t have to worry about memorizing my lines which is nice. Since I was young, I’ve had a really good memory which is certainly helpful. For auditions and the onscreen work that I’ve done I just try to think about the story. If you are less focused on trying really hard to memorize the lines, you will remember the story and your character so the lines will come more easily to you.
What do you call your personal style?
I would call it comfy…I’m not a spike heel and high fashion kind of girl. I like big cozy sweaters with a cami and jeans or leggings.
What things inspire you?
Music inspires me. If I hear a really awesome song, I immediately feel motivated. My family also inspires me. Everyone in my family is really ambitious, driven, and go after what they want. That definitely makes it easy to feel inspired.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
At that point, I will have graduated from UCLA and would love to be working on a TV show.
What would be your dream job as an actor and why?
My dream job is to be an actor because nothing else makes me feel more alive than my passion for acting. After I come out of an audition, my mood is immediately elevated. There's nothing else like it. I also have a big passion for film in general. Working in the film industry is something I aspire to do because it has had such a strong impact on me since I was little. I used Movies and TV to escape the pain of being bullied and it actually made me feel better. You can’t underestimate the power of a good film or show.
Where can fans reach out to you on social media and do you have any other projects that we should know about?
They can follow me on Twitter and Instagram @danagaier. In terms of projects, I also worked on an independent film that will be coming out soon called The Ice Cream Truck. My role, Brie, is small but important and it was an incredible experience as my first onscreen role.

What type of fandom do you think to follow "Sharknado 'movies?
Sharknado has a lot of heart. I especially fell in love with the movie’s core family values in every film. I simply adore the Sharknado fandom because the community doesn’t take itself too seriously and yet it is brimming with sincerity and enthusiasm. It’s a delightful land of joy! It feels utterly refreshing to be in a room with Sharknado enthusiasts!
How did you come across your part in Sharknado 5 and you already a fan? I was offered Sharknado while scheduled to fly to Florence, Italy! Within 48 hours of my trip, I read the script, fell in love with its core values, and with the prospect of doing my own stunts. The project was simply too delicious to pass up, and a first for me!
Can you give any spoilers?
True to any Sharknado series, Sharknado 5 takes it further and deeper. There are a lot of unexpected elements that may absolutely shock even the most seasoned fans. I dare anyone to predict the ending! Come on, Twitter, I’ll be watching your live feed!
How long have you been an actress? I’ve been an actress since the age of 12. While I’ve cultivated other hobbies and passions along the way, acting remains my most intuitive career. There is something unrushed, easy, and instinctual about diving into a new script and building a new character. The role develops on her own, and I’m often not the conscious driver in these choices; it all happens subconsciously. While reading the script, as a character, I start developing characteristics that cement my choices – and try as I might, once those ticks and traits are discovered, I cannot rebuild during filming! They’re as intractable as a real-life person.
Do you have any other hidden skills?
I once solved the Rubik's cube in 6 minutes. Those hours of waiting on set truly force you to learn other skills. I also love to paint. / ouch magazine
Where do you all home and where is your favorite place to visit?
I’ve lived in Los Angeles longer than anywhere else in the world, so I would call LA my home. Though, Vienna and Michigan both cultivated in me a deep desire for four seasons. In LA we only have what feels to be like two seasons: spring and summer. Feeling snowmelt on my cheek truly does pull me back into a deep, deep nostalgia. I’ve written countless poems about these sensations.
What other projects do you have lined up for 2017-2018?
There’s one massive project in the works but I am sworn to secrecy! I feel our fans are so in tune that even one hint would tip the show! (hint)
How can fans reach out to you?
I’m quite active on social media.
Fans can reach me on Instagram: @MasielaLusha, twitter: @Masiela and/or Facebook: Masiela Lusha
I love hearing from fans! And I also try my best to respond to as many messages as I can!
