threeASFOUR came back to New York like they’d never left—and, thankfully, without explaining themselves.
For S/S 2027, the collective once again treats the body as something to interrogate rather than simply dress. Clothes twist, distort and hover between garment and object, creating silhouettes that feel faintly alien but never entirely removed from the street. There’s an unmistakable sense of experimentation here, but it isn’t experimentation for experimentation’s sake.
What makes the collection interesting is its refusal to choose between fashion and art. threeASFOUR has always understood that clothing can be beautiful, uncomfortable, conceptual and completely impractical at the same time. This season embraces that contradiction.
In a NYFW landscape increasingly obsessed with making everything instantly legible, threeASFOUR remains gloriously difficult to pin down. And maybe that’s the point.
Weird, cerebral and unapologetically threeASFOUR. New York is better when fashion gets strange.
