"The Buccaneers" is a historical drama inspired by Edith Wharton's unfinished novel of the same name, following a group of young, fun-loving American girls who arrive in tightly corseted 1870s London, causing an Anglo-American culture clash.
The first season premiered in late 2023 and was renewed for a second season in December 2023. The main ensemble cast from Season 1 will be returning, including Kristine Frøseth, Alisha Boe, Aubri Ibrag, Josie Totah, and Imogen Waterhouse.
Leighton Meester ("Gossip Girl") is joining the cast for Season 2 in an undisclosed role.
