About Our Inheritance:
Our Inheritance is an autobiographical one-woman show written and performed by Isa Aguiar, who lives through the relationship with her mother. As circumstances pass down from mother to daughter, can family love be sustained with all the pain, fear, and unwanted trauma? Through memory, humor, and survival, Our Inheritance confronts the impossible complexity of what it takes to keep a family alive.
WHO: Isa Aguiar will be doing her autobiographical one-woman show at The Chain Theater in New York City on Jan 29-31. Aguiar is the writer and performer of Our Inheritance, a show exploring her relationship with her mother and the circumstances they carry. Developed in collaboration with director Lil Malinich, the piece marks Aguiar’s debut as a playwright and brings together her work as both a performer and writer.
