TAIPEI TO LONDON: A SENSORY SHOWCASE OF TAIWANESE

From Taipei to London: A Sensory Showcase of Taiwanese Creativity, which took place on 18 September 2025 at the Institute of Contemporary Arts (ICA), Brandon & Nash Rooms, London.

Commissioned by Taiwan’s Ministry of Culture and curated by Rain Wu, the showcase brought together four leading Taiwanese designers — APUJAN, INFDARK, JENN LEE, and RAY CHU— in an immersive, multi-sensory journey that integrated fashion, food, and floral. In an innovative collaboration with acclaimed restaurant BAO London, a bespoke dish was created for each designer’s work, extending their narratives into taste, alongside scenography and florals that captured Taiwan’s spirit of environmental consciousness, emotional depth, and innovation.

Highlights included APUJAN’s knitwear and chiffon gowns inspired by fantasy worlds, INFDARK’s reinvention of Taiwanese cultural motifs, JENN LEE’s transformative anniversary collection blending gothic edge with romanticism, and RAY CHU’s sustainable gender-fluid tailoring made from upcycled tea leaf and fish-scale waste fabrics.
