Grammy-winning producer, songwriter, and musician Andrew Watt is behind “Runway,” the new single from 16-time GRAMMY® and Emmy Award winner Lady Gaga and two-time GRAMMY® Award winner Doechii, out today. Built for the dance floor, “Runway” marks a major creative moment for Watt, who co-produced the track alongside Bruno Mars, Cirkut, and Dernst “D’Mile” Emile II. Watt also co-wrote the song with Gaga, Mars, Doechii, Cirkut, D’Mile, and Jayda Love, further showcasing his role as a driving force behind some of today’s most impactful pop releases.
“Runway” was first teased earlier this week in the film’s final trailer and arrives today as the first official collaboration between Gaga and Doechii - two boundary-pushing artists whose mutual respect and admiration for one another makes for both a natural and highly anticipated pairing.
For Watt, “Runway” adds to an already landmark run in 2026. This release comes on the heels of his work with Paul McCartney, having produced McCartney’s latest single "Days We Left Behind,” released March 26th, and serving as a key creative partner and producer on his forthcoming 18th solo studio album, "The Boys of Dungeon Lane.” The collaboration marks a meeting of generations, with Watt helping shape the next chapter of one of music’s most influential artists while continuing to define the sound of contemporary pop.
