Grammy-winning producer, songwriter, and musician Andrew Watt is behind the official soundtrack album for HBO’s breakout comedy series Rooster, out today via WaterTower Music. The soundtrack features “I Played The Fool (Main Title Theme)” by Watt and legendary former R.E.M. frontman Michael Stipe, alongside selections from the show’s acclaimed original score, composed and produced by Watt.
The soundtrack arrives as the Steve Carell led series continues its meteoric rise, officially becoming HBO’s biggest comedy launch in decades, averaging 6.5 million viewers and cementing itself as one of the year’s defining television events. The Bill Lawrence and Matt Tarses helmed show has already been renewed for a second season, further exemplifying its impact.
