Boy George brings new Karma to NYC for Pride
The music icon made a surprise stop at Stonewall Inn Friday night, walking into the DJ booth and stopping the music to play the new release of “Karma Chameleon,” which came out this week on Artist Included. He gave crowds at the historic West Village spot a show for over an hour, playing a mixture of house and electric pop as the crowd danced on. The drop in doubled as a Pride celebration with George saying to the crowd “show me how queer you are” to a room of cheers. It all marked a historic moment for George who reclaimed full ownership of his global hit “Karma Chameleon” 40 years after he originally released it, meaning he will now benefit financially from Artist Included streams of the single.
