An emotionally honest perspective of rural life in today’s America, Harvest is a passionate documentary on the Nelson Brothers of Sondheimer, Louisiana, population 200, who are fourth-generation farmers with big dreams facing even bigger obstacles.

Mother-daughter creative duo Natalie Baszile (author of the novel “Queen Sugar”) and Hyacinth Parker make their Tribeca debut with Harvest. This touching portrait of the deep American South follows the Nelson brothers, who may be short on finances but are rich in family, humor and ambition. As they take on a new land lease to expand their dreams, they’re faced with challenges such as climate change, rising costs, and brotherly tensions that threaten their livelihoods. The Nelsons fight to find a way through.
