When Selah, a determined teen, takes on a solo road trip from Texas to California to deliver a designer puppy for cash, both her responsibilities and emotions get tested to the limit, ultimately revealing her real reason for the trip.

Cast
This short film offers a poignant look at the impact of abortion restrictions on teenagers and women in states where reproductive rights are limited. I found the story both moving and heartfelt, with Birdie Silverstein delivering a sincere and effective performance that brought emotional depth to the film.
The dog featured throughout the short was particularly memorable, serving as a powerful metaphor for pregnancy and the emotional attachment that can develop. The film thoughtfully illustrates that while letting go can be incredibly difficult, there are circumstances in which it may be a necessary choice. Through its symbolism and strong performances, the short presents a compassionate and thought-provoking perspective on a deeply personal issue.
