Do you feel being on ANTM has helped your Career?
Actually yes and no. I feel that being on this show has helped me greatly with my notoriety, but in my real personal business life of modeling I feel that I am always being typecast or prejudged base off my inaccurate ANTM performance. I also know people in this industry do not take ANTM to seriously because it is a “reality show” but for me I’ve work so hard in this industry that I refuse to let this misrepresentation proclaim my fate.
2. What projects are your passionate and would like all readers to know about for
2011-12?
I am passionate about everything I apply myself to do. Modeling has been such a passion of mine. I continue to strive high and show those that doubt me that truly I am the epitome of what a “Supermodel” is!! I have been involved working with two non-profit charity organizations as well as focusing on creating the ultimate Brand Jade! I also have in the works a possible sunglasses and hat line, as well as establishing myself to be a certified author. I have a YouTube page coming out this summer showing the real reality of my talents and my personal truths.
3. What made you move to LA? Do you think you have learned anything different by moving?
I feel life is a great learning experience. I become more open and to learn something
that will help me grow with each new beginning, since modeling in New York for 5 years I
felt I wanted a change. So I decided to move to California where I believed it would be the perfect place for me to develop and become more focused on my career, plus the weather is great! You can’t beat it.
4. Have you always been a strong woman?
No, actually I lost my strength in 2007 while enduring a very serious mentally and physically abusive relationship with a man I thought loved me. During this time I became lost and empty inside not realizing this destructive nature was taking it’s toll on my mind, body, soul and career! But with the help of my strong family support, friends and counseling, I finally woke up and saved myself as I persevered finding my way back to an even stronger better me! Yet I want to let all the females that are dealing with abuse in their relationships that you are not alone! But you are the only one that can stop being abused! I never thought it would happen to me, so don’t be blind like I was~ wake up and know your worth. Respect yourself because the abusive man you think loves you, is killing you!! You have to change to save yourself, and your life!
5. Do you stay in touch with any of the other past ANTM girls?
Yes. I try my best to keep in touch with most of the girls from my cycle.
6. What projects or red carpets have you attended that your were like “I made it!” Or do you still feel as if your not there yet?
I would have to say the MTV video music awards in 09. It was a fantastic experience to be in the same atmosphere with so many different famous celebrities. The feeling of fans dreaming my name and the multiple flashes from cameras all around was something I had never experience on this caliber before and I felt extremely thankful, but numb at the same time seeing Lady Gaga standing 1 foot away from me, and even Kanye West coming up and complimenting me on my dress. I felt like a true superstar that day!
7. We spotted you this past fashion week, any favorite shows or styles for fall/winter you’d like to sport?
I adored the Blondes show. Phillipe and David need to book for the their next show immediately.
8. On a personal note, how do you stay so fit?
Have you ever had any weigh problems in your life? Skin? Anything, you can’t be that perfect. (lol) Well I never had any weight problems but in 2004 I did a photo shoot in Port- au Prince Haiti, and there I got bit on my face by a sand fly that carried a parasite and not to long after that I started developing skin issues, and was diagnosed with cystic acne in 2006. During the shows filming you could see the bit mark on the right side, near my cheekbone. But as time went on my outbreaks have become less and less visible.
9. What makes you angry?
People that are prejudgmental and feel they have to bring people down to feel better about themselves.
And what makes you happy?
Peace, and living life without worry.
10. Can you sing? Or dance?
We know you can act and model. I do sing and I do love to dance and in my past life I was a ballerina.
11. Why do people think your last name is Roden?
I don’t know why people think that is my last name. But most likely a fan made that name up for me. I was never married before. So “Roden” is a fake name.
12. Do you have a special someone in your Life?
Yes I do!!

13. What do you want people to know about your portrayal on ANTM?
I want people to know and understand that so many of us that have been subjected to being exploited to the world in a incorrect manner on these reality shows needs to stand up and speak about how this has affected their real personal lives. I want people to know there are two sides to every story. I gave up all my rights to the producer of ANTM.
14. Do you have a website? Where can people find you?
My website will be coming soon, but in the meantime definitely come and join me on my personal FB page: www.facebook.com/jadecole
