Let's talk about your role in the new series Day of the Dead! I love a good zombie movie or tv show. What was the set like? Was it scary?
The zombies definitely added an element of fright, particularly when a gaggle of them are chasing you, but overall it was a fun set to be on. It felt like a tight knit community. When you work with the same group of people almost everyday for nearly 3 months that’s bound to happen.
What's your all time favorite horror movie?
Get Out hands down; I’ve watched the film at least 4 or 5 times. I think Jordan Peele is wildly talented and creative, and he’s doing some really great stuff in the horror/thriller genre. Would love to work with him one day. I’m putting that out into the universe!
What's been the biggest highlight of your career so far?
I would say getting the phone call from my agent that I booked Day of the Dead. At the time that I got the call I was in the midst of moving (at the height of the pandemic no less which added to the stress of it all), so getting that call kind of made everything go still for a moment! Plus it’s my first series regular role, so it’ll always hold a special place in my heart.
What's a day in your life like from am to pm?
‘Not every day is the same but some key parts of my day include my morning coffee and smoothie, some reading, journaling or writing, a workout of some sort (lately I’ve been into hot pilates), and my 10-step Korean skincare routine in the evening…Self care is important!’
What other projects can we look for that you're a part of in 2022 and beyond?
You can find me in an indie feature called Colorblind that I’m quite excited about, which should be coming out next year. I did a holiday film as well but I can’t share details on that yet so keep your eyes peeled!
