Bruce Springsteen will receive the 2026 Harry Belafonte Voices for Social Justice Award, an honor that was established by the late Paula Weinstein, Tribeca’s former Chief Content Officer, acclaimed producer, and lifelong activist. Named for Harry Belafonte, the legendary singer, actor, and civil rights leader who fused artistry with activism, the award recognizes artists who don’t just speak out, but actively use their platform to advance equality, dignity, and human rights. There are few figures who embody that mission more completely than Bruce Springsteen.

The evening will bring together an extraordinary circle of artists and activists highlighted by a conversation between Springsteen and his longtime friend and fellow activist Bono. Robert De Niro and Patti Smith will also join to pay tribute to a legacy defined not just by artistry, but by action.

Meyers began his TV career with “Saturday Night Live” in 2001 where he was a cast member for 13 seasons. He served as head writer for nine seasons and “Weekend Update” anchor for eight. He has released two critically acclaimed stand-up specials to date, “Lobby Baby” (Netflix) and “Seth Meyers: Dad Man Walking” (HBO/Max.) In all, Meyers has garnered 35 Emmy nominations for his work in television.

Este Haim is best known as the bassist and vocalist of the rock trio HAIM, which she formed with her younger sisters Alana and Danielle in 2006. The band is a five-time Grammy nominee. Their acclaimed album I quit was nominated for Best Rock Album, making them the first all-female band recognized in the category. Haim has also been in demand for scoring projects. She composed the score for Netflix’s limited series Maid and served as a music consultant on HBO’s The White Lotus. She co-scored Suncoast and Anyone But You, and recently contributed to additional film and television scoring projects.

Will Gluck is a writer, director, and producer known for telling sharp, emotionally grounded stories about relationships and human connection. His work includes directing and co-writing the global hit romantic comedy Anyone But You starring Sydney Sweeney and Glen Powell, directing the acclaimed feature Easy A and directing and co-writing the features Friends with Benefits, Peter Rabbit, Peter Rabbit 2: The Runaway, and Annie.
