Victor De Souza Brings to Life a Lost History NYFW 24

Luxury fashion house, Victor dE Souza, celebrates a rendezvous with history in his Fall / Winter 2024 show at New York Fashion Week. The collection honors the connection between past and present with Edwardian and Baroque references and 21st century style.

Each piece is a masterstroke of design — transforming structured gothic-inspired silhouettes and meticulous stitching into modern, high-impact statement pieces. It’s a collection that redefines the boundaries of style and sophistication, tailor-made for the discerning eye of a confident woman. Gilded embroidery, decadent fabrics, gleaming gold metal flowers, ruffle-edged suits, and oversized bows are a tribute to lost histories and the fantasies that come with re-imaging them.

“My devotion to highly structured silhouettes and precision stitching began as a young man in Argentina, rifling through my grandmother’s extravagant closet full of Dior, Schaparelli and Chanel. Due to a flood, we’ve unfortunately lost most of her pieces,” says designer and founder, Victor dE Souza. “Memories of these heirlooms inspired me to infuse history and fantasy into dramatic looks for the women I dress. It’s a resurrection of lost family treasures with pieces of myself interwoven, each piece a thread of my family tree.”

Show sponsors include: Elektra, Aubrey Loots Hair for Wella Professional USA, T. Cooper for Major Face, Pacifica, Book of Lashes, and Open Water.
