Unveiling the Elegance: Lisbon Fashion Week's March Programme

The 66th edition of Portugal's Lisbon Fashion Week (LFW), taking place from March 12 to 15 at its customary venue, Pátio da Galé, and co-organized with Lisbon City Council (CML), presents ‘MobdaLisoa Pebbling presented by Omoda & Jaecoo,’ spotlighting the two independent automotive brands owned by the Chinese giant Chery Automobile as the main sponsors of this edition.

The presentations in Sala do Risco will be livestreamed on Lisbon Fashion Week’s digital platforms, on the RTP website, at various locations across the city on the MOP network, and also at the ModaPortugal by CENIT/ANIVEC art installation in Praça do Comércio, the note adds.

For their part, Ricardo Andrez and Roselyn Silva (March 14 and 15, Saturday and Sunday, respectively) head to MUDE, "in a logic of six-monthly innovation (and this synergy will include other programmatic elements, to be announced soon);" BÉHEN has prepared a private viewing of the new collection for March 14 and, on the following day, Constança Entrudo "invites an exclusive group of press and her community to visit the brand’s new studio, in an intimate, off-calendar moment where the designer focuses on textile processes, experimentation and the interdependence of creative work."

"On March 13, at CAM’s Engawa Space, Kolovrat explores the concept of the seed for a site-specific presentation of the new collection. Performative in nature, the event will be free to attend, subject to ticket collection and, after the presentation, the pieces will remain on display until March 16."

The press release also announces that Workstation Design supported by Jean Louis David will return to Lisbon Fashion Week for a second edition with ARNDES, Bárbara Atanásio, Çal Pfungst, and Francisca Nabinho, who join DRIONADREAM, making its debut on the emerging creation platform after taking part in Sangue Novo.

"In addition to a comprehensive technical and production framework- including a presentation space, specialised production, support teams, and hair styling by Jean Louis David professionals- the March 2026 edition once again includes the Empowerment Award."

Awarded to ARNDES, Bárbara Atanásio, Çal Pfungst and Francisca Nabinho, to support their journeys within the platform, the financial grant of 2,000 euros per designer "is intended to strengthen processes of development, innovation and the structuring of business models, contributing to a more consistent and lasting presence in the professional field of fashion," it notes.

Another new feature: each of the two fashion shows will offer 100 seats to the public, accessible by registering on the event’s website, in order to respond simultaneously to the "mission of Associação ModaLisboa to promote access by its communities to the work of designers and the objective of exposing the proposals of Workstation Design supported by Jean Louis David to new audiences."

The five finalists of the Sangue Novo competition- Adja Baio, Ariana Orrico, Mafalda Simões, Mariana Garcia, and Usual Suspect- will take to Pátio da Galé on the evening of March 13. "The second and final phase of the competition is structured around pillars that open up new possibilities for young designers- from international training to responsible production, from brand creation to innovation in crafts- reinforcing Sangue Novo as a space for continued development and projection within the fashion system," ModaLisboa also explains in a press release.

The young talents developed the collections to be unveiled on March 12 over the past few months, "in a context of guided mentorship, designed as a tool for effective capacity-building and knowledge sharing", it continues, noting that "the programme included sessions on Brand Creation, led by Constança Entrudo and Ana Duarte; Sustainability and Materials, with Joana Campos Silva, from CENIT; and Fashion Marketing and Communication, with Federico Poletti, from IED Milano." These were produced with the support of Associação ModaLisboa’s partners, such as textile companies Calvelex/Fabrics4Fashion, RDD Textiles and Riopele, "reinforcing a conscious approach to production and materials," it concludes.
