Melissa McBride is set to reprise her fan-favorite role as “Carol Peletier” as a series regular in the second season of The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon, which was announced at New York Comic Con earlier today. McBride first played “Carol” in The Walking Dead flagship series for eleven seasons alongside Norman Reedus, who stars as “Daryl Dixon” in the spin-off series set in France. The news of McBride’s return to the Walking Dead Universe comes just ahead of the show’s Season One finale on Sunday, October 15 at 9pm ET/PT on AMC and AMC+, in which she makes an appearance. The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon has been a ratings success on AMC+ and AMC to become the most-viewed premiere in the history of AMC+ and is pacing to be the most-viewed single series of any show ever on the platform. On AMC, Daryl is a top 15 cable drama for 2023 to date in adults 25-54, joining other AMC series The Walking Dead: Dead City, Anne Rice’s Mayfair Witches, Fear the Walking Dead and Dark Winds in that category.
