TATUM BRADY who will be releasing her debut single "I'm Gonna Fly" on February 3rd. Most know Tatum from her appearance as a fan favorite on JoJo Siwa's show "Siwa's Dance Pop Revolution" this past year. 

What is the inspiration behind your single ?

The inspiration behind the single has been my personal journey.  I have had several adults that try to put you in their "Box."  This song is about empowering yourself to do things your way and be your authentic self.  It celebrates the freedom of not conforming and going for what you truly want and what you believe in!  I hope everyone can relate to "I'm gonna fly" and I can't wait to hear my fans' reactions!!!

I see you are also a dancer from your videos? How did you start  singing and dancing?

Yes I started dancing at the age of 2 1/2.  When my nanny would take me to the playground I would stop and watch the older girls in the park recreation dance class.  One day I just walked in and the teacher let me join.  After class she told my nanny that I had a special gift and they should put me at a dance studio.  I then joined West Coast School of the Arts in Orange County and was recruited to their competition team as the. youngest at age 3.  There was an in-studio singing teacher there that heard me sing in the hallway.  She approached my mom and I began singing lessons.  From there I would perform and my grandparents assisted living for all the residents.  They were a great crowd as they cheered me on and paid me in cookies:). I guess it was my first "Paid" gig.  LOL 

Do you write songs ? If not, do you plan to?

Yes I do.  I was able to have creative freedom with this song and worked with a very talented lyricist who picked this with me.  I have several songs that will be recorded and released that show a very different side and vibe.  I cannot wait to share too!  

Who or what is your inspiration for what you do? How do you stay focused?

I stay focused because this is my passion.  I feel "AT HOME" on stage and performing.  I just love it!  My inspiration comes from dancing with some amazingly talented artists.  I have been so fortunate to dance at studios with some of the most talented artists in the country.  I take inspiration from every teacher  & choreographer that I have had the pleasure to work with. My music inspiration comes from Taylor Swift for her authentic song writing, Miley Cyrus for her deep, rich tones and edgy vibe.  Ariana Grande for her classic cover girl image and her crazy range, Beyonce for her fierce stage presence and Harry Styles for his relatability.  

Where do you call home? What's your favorite place to visit?

The Beach is Home.  I reside in Newport Beach, CA.  I love visiting Hawaii because it is so beautiful and peaceful.  I have a very busy schedule so when we take family vacations to Hawaii it is so nice to slow down and enjoy nature!  I really want to visit Australia one day because I am obsessed with Koala Bears:)

What makes you stand out from the others?

For my age I think I really know a lot about who I am and what I stand for.  I am relatable and authentic and I know that comes across to my fans.  I am not "putting on a show" this is me.  It is a trust between me and my fans and we are in this together.  I am living my life with ups and downs as every tween and teen has.  I don't want to portray that everything is unicorns and rain

What's your music style?

Fresh, energetic Pop with a balance of a vulnerable indie sound. 

What projects do you have lined up for 2023?

I have started a charity with my older brother Evan called Gear 2 Give.  It is "leveling the playing field" by repurposing  gently used or new sports & dance equipment to communities/schools and organizations in need!  

More music is coming out showing a different vibe along with merch and another surprise I can't wait to share when I am able!
