Amazon Studios’ highly-anticipated series The Boys took the stage at New York Comic Con with a panel discussion with the cast and creators - and a first look at the subversive superhero series. In addition, fans were treated to a surprise cameo from Simon Pegg, whose likeness was the inspiration for “Hughie” in the original comic book series. It was revealed, with a quintessential awkward family photo, that Pegg will be appearing in the series as Hughie’s (Jack Quaid) dad.

 

During the panel, a corporate video from Vought’s VP of Hero Management, Madelyn Stillwell (Elisabeth Shue), revealed just how much of a business it is to be super.

It’s the powerless against the super powerful as The Boys embark on a heroic quest to expose the truth about “The Seven,” and Vought – the multibillion dollar conglomerate that manages these superheroes.
